PAYMENT:
- Payment is required on the day of the appointment
- EFTPOS, Visa, Mastercard and direct deposit
- Medicare and private health rebates can be processed for you at the time of payment
MEDICARE REBATES:
Families may be eligible for a Medicare rebate when referred under a Mental Health Treatment Plan (MHTP) from a GP, paediatrician or psychiatrist.
- Rebates available for up to 10 psychology sessions per calendar year
- The current Medicare rebate for psychology is $ 98.95 per session
Families are welcome to attend without a referral, however a valid referral and Mental Health Treatment Plan (MHTP) are required to claim Medicare rebates.
If you’re unsure how to arrange this, we are more than happy to guide you through the process.
PRIVATE HEALTH INSURANCE:
Some private health funds offer rebates for psychology services. Eligibility and rebate amounts vary depending on your provider and level of cover.
If you’d like to claim through private health, please check with your provider to confirm:
- Whether Psychology is included in your plan
- The rebate amount per session
Only one rebate can be claimed per session, either Medicare or private health. Not both.
NDIS:
We are not currently a NDIA-registered provider.
Families who are self-managed or plan-managed may still be able to use their NDIS funding for psychology services:
- Self-managed participants can pay and then claim reimbursement directly through the NDIS portal.
- Plan-managed participants can request that invoices be forwarded to their plan manager for payment.
NDIA-managed (agency-managed) plans cannot be used at this clinic.
If you’re unsure whether your child’s funding applies, we’re always happy to help you understand your options.
APPOINTMENT REMINDERS:
You will receive a text message reminder 48 hours before your appointment. This reminder is an opportunity to confirm that the time still suits your family.
CANCELLATION POLICY:
We understand that family life can be busy and unpredictable. If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, we completely understand, we simply ask for 24 hours notice so we can offer the time to another family on our waitlist.
Cancellation time frames & fees
| Notice | Fee |
|---|---|
| More than 24 hours’ notice | No Charge |
| Less than 24 hours’ notice (late cancellation) | 100% of the session fee |
| No-show / non-attendance | Full session fee |
Note: Medicare and private health do not provide rebates for cancellation fees.
IF YOUR CHILD CAN’T ATTEND:
Your appointment time is dedicated to your family. If your child is unwell or unable to join, you are still welcome to use the session:
